Professional Background

A Reno native, Kacee Atherton is committed to providing strategic and effective representation in civil matters involving real property, land use, and environmental regulation. Her practice focuses on helping clients navigate legal issues affecting property rights and land use throughout Northern Nevada.

Kacee earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During law school, she gained significant experience through both academic achievement and hands-on legal advocacy. As a student attorney in the Tenants’ Rights Residency Program, she advised and represented tenants facing eviction, drafted pleadings and motions, and appeared in court under attorney supervision. Her work also extended beyond the courtroom—she prepared and delivered legislative testimony on habitability reform during the 2025 Nevada Legislative Session.

With experience in family, criminal, and civil litigation, Kacee understands that legal disputes often involve both personal and financial stakes. Drawing on her Nevada roots and litigation experience, she guides clients through the legal process by identifying key issues, developing strategic arguments, and preparing matters for hearings and trial, while providing clear guidance when navigating complex legal challenges.
