Why the first few weeks matter

Most injury cases are won or lost before anyone files a lawsuit.

What you say, what you sign, and what gets documented early shapes everything that follows. A short call now costs you nothing.

Recorded statements

You don't have to give the other driver's insurer a recorded statement. Talk to us first.

Early offers

A quick settlement offer usually comes before you know the full cost of your injury. Once you sign, it's final.

Evidence disappears

Camera footage gets overwritten and witnesses move on. We move to preserve it.

Deadlines are real

Nevada gives you two years for most injury claims, and far less for workers' comp and claims against government agencies.

Car, truck & motorcycle accidents

Someone else caused the crash. You shouldn't be the one paying for it.

We deal with the insurance companies, gather the police report, medical records, and repair estimates, and build the claim around what the accident actually cost you. If the insurer won't be reasonable, we're a litigation firm. We go to court.

What a claim can cover

  • Medical bills, now and future
  • Lost wages and earning ability
  • Pain and suffering
  • Vehicle damage and rental

Every case is different. What's recoverable depends on the facts, the insurance available, and Nevada law. We handle accidents that caused an injury; if only your vehicle or property was damaged, we're not the right fit.

Injured at work

Workers' comp should take care of you. When it doesn't, you have options.

A comp claim can look fine and still be shortchanging you. If your average monthly wage is calculated wrong, your temporary disability checks are wrong too, and the error carries through the whole case. At the end, the type of injury largely decides your permanent disability settlement. We also step in when a claim is denied, benefits stop early, or the insurer's doctor says you're fine when you aren't.

7 days

to give your employer written notice of the injury (Form C-1).

90 days

to file your claim for compensation (Form C-4), usually at your first medical visit.

70 days

to request a hearing from the date of any insurer decision you disagree with, from a denied claim to a miscalculated wage. Weekends count.

Both the C-1 and the C-4 are required. Insurers have been denying claims when either one is missing or late, so if you're not sure yours were filed correctly, call us.

Hurt at work by someone who isn't your employer?

If you were rear-ended while driving for work, or injured by another company's equipment or crew on a job site, you may also have a personal injury claim against whoever caused it. That claim can reach things comp doesn't, like pain and suffering. The comp insurer will usually ask to be repaid out of that recovery, but Nevada law limits how much it can take, and insurers will sometimes settle for less to avoid court. Handling both claims together from the start is how we protect what you actually keep.

Slips, falls, dog bites & unsafe property

Property owners have a duty to keep people safe.

Hazard on a property where someone could be injured

Wet floors with no warning, broken stairs, icy walkways nobody cleared, a dog with a history. When a business, landlord, or homeowner ignores a hazard and you get hurt, they can be held responsible.

If it happened recently, take photos, get the names of anyone who saw it, and ask for an incident report. Then call us.

Personal injury cases

No fee unless we win.

For personal injury claims, we work on contingency. There is no upfront cost and no hourly rate. Our fee comes from the recovery we secure on your behalf. If we don't recover anything, you don't owe us a fee.

If you've been injured and aren't sure whether you have a case, the consultation is free and we'll give you a straight answer.

Our contingency fee is one-third (33⅓%) of the gross recovery, or 40% if the case is not resolved more than 21 days before a scheduled trial, arbitration, or mediation hearing. Case costs and expenses, such as filing fees, records, and expert fees, are the client's responsibility whether or not there is a recovery. Full terms are in the written fee agreement.

Common questions

Straight answers.

How long do I have to file?

For most personal injury claims in Nevada, two years from the date of injury. Workers' comp deadlines are much shorter, and claims against a city, county, or state agency have their own rules. Don't wait to find out which applies to you.

What if I was partly at fault?

You can still recover in Nevada as long as you weren't more at fault than the other side. Your recovery is reduced by your share.

Can I be fired for filing workers' comp?

Nevada law protects workers from being fired for filing a legitimate claim, and you have 30 days to file notice with the state's workers' comp division. Retaliation is an employment law matter, so if it happens to you, we can point you to an employment attorney who handles these cases.

Do I really need a lawyer?

Not always. Small claims with clear fault and minor injuries sometimes settle fine on their own. We'll tell you honestly if yours is one of them. Workers' comp is different: benefits depend on calculations that are easy to get wrong, so it's almost always worth having us look.

The insurance company already has lawyers. Now you do too.
